Alex Rami: Supporting Your Community

Ask yourself today: What can I do for someone or a family in need?... then, if you're able, do it.  A deliberate act of kindness.

Now, more than ever, acts of kindness are truly needed.  With such a poor economy and the high rate of unemployment, most of us would'n't be able to say, with certainty, that we didn't know anyone in some form of hardship... if not ourselves.

So you might ask yourself, "what can I do to help?"  Whether you realize it or not, we all belong to some form of "community."  A community can be your city, your immediate neighborhood, or your own family, usually made up of people you know or are familiar with and sharing common interests.

Whether intentional or not, communities are formed to make up a support structure.  Members make up that community and if members disappear... so goes the community.  While the reach of acts of kindness should never be limited, I always recommend that we first start with our very own communities... our own support structures.  -  Rami
