One of my favorite food sources is the Farmers Market. There is an almond grower who sells there. I bought some marzipan and some almond butter. I mix 2 parts marzipan with 1 part almond butter and spread it on hot toast. Very yummy!

FOOD FOR THOUGHT - IS FAILURE A FORM OF SUCCESS?!

What is failure?

What is success?

Is success when you have achieved your goal and reached the end of your journey; or is it the systematic process of reaching that destination? If it is a systematic process there are moments where we will not achieve our intermittent goals as we designed. There may even come a point when achieving the end result is in doubt.

So we stop pursing our original goal and change course. What if the new course takes us to places we didn’t plan on, deliv… Continue

The Grand Galleries in Tracy have Accepted the "I'm Still Beautiful" Art Tribute to Breast Cancer Survivors

The Grand Galleries has accepted my art tribute to breast cancer survivors called "I'm Still Beautiful" to be exhibited in their next season. Exact dates will be set later once their new budget is accepted. We still have many details to iron out but the important thing is we get to do my show in our new home town. The plan, as it stands, is we will have a big opening night and the exhibit will continue for 4-6 weeks after. I also plan to invite a couple health professionals to give informal talk… Continue

Getting the ball rolling

For over a decade I have played around with wood carving. It started with a piece of drift wood and a pocket knife that I came across one day while walking on the beach. I played around a bit but didn't take it seriously. It wasn't until my first wife desided to look for greener pastures that I took carving back up. The carving away of strips of wood some how helped me work though what at the time seemed like the end of life. I actually was hospitalized and while locked up realized that I missed… Continue

Finding A Job or Starting A Home Based Business?

Finding even a minimum wage job is difficult right now. If finding a job has been non-productive for you, another option you may consider is working for yourself as a home-business owner. The tax advantages are great and you won't find a better boss than yourself!

I am a home-based Marketing Executive and I work closely with a team of mom's and dad's who have partnered with a Green, Inc. 500 Manufacturing Company with 24 years of experience. We are a Better Business Bureau Accredited Business a… Continue

Charles Schwab is selling advice

"I hate to use this phrase, but we really are the Wal-Mart of financial services," says Charles Schwab. His hesitation is understandable -- when you are trying to persuade investors that your firm is the place to entrust $100,000 or $1 million of their savings, you don't want them associating you with cheap sweatshirts and dog food.

Tech stocks for the next 10 years

Technology trends can be easy to spot -- iPod earbuds become ubiquitous, people casually use the term "Google" as a verb. But if the decade since the Internet bubble burst taught you anything, it's that tech investing is hard. The key is to find companies that can take advantage of massive shifts in the way consumers and businesses use technology.
